How to use it

1. Open the public X or Twitter post and copy its link from the Share menu.
2. Paste the post link into the box above and select Download.
3. Choose an available MP4 resolution and save the file to your device.

Tips and fixes

Choose from the available resolutions

A post can offer more than one MP4 version. Choose from the resolutions shown in the results, based on the picture size you need and the storage available on your device. A larger resolution does not recover detail missing from the original upload. If only one option appears, this tool cannot create additional quality levels or upscale the source video.

GIF posts download as MP4

X serves animated GIF posts as video, so the downloadable file is MP4 rather than a GIF image. Save that file to keep the animation and open it in a video player. This page does not convert MP4 into GIF or promise an audio track for a silent animation. Check the format requirements of the app where you plan to use it.

Copy the post link, not the profile

Use the Share menu on the specific post containing the video you want. A profile, search result page, or screenshot does not identify the media for this tool. Make sure the post remains public and has not been removed. Protected accounts and deleted posts are not supported. Only download your own content or media you have the owner's permission to save.

Find your saved video

Your browser decides where downloaded files go. Look in its downloads list or your device's Downloads folder before checking a gallery app. If the MP4 opens in a new tab, use the browser's save command: a long press can show it on a phone, while a right click can show it on a computer. Keep the file extension when renaming it.
