Why HD is not always offered

The HD button appears only when the source provides an HD file for the requested post. If that file is absent, the result offers normal quality instead. This tool does not upscale a smaller video or manufacture a higher resolution version. Check the buttons shown for your actual result rather than assuming every TikTok post will have the same set of quality options.

Check the downloaded video itself

An HD label cannot recover detail lost to blur or compression in the original recording. Open the saved file on your device to judge whether it meets your needs. The preview image alone does not establish the quality of the video download. Renaming the file or changing its extension will not improve its resolution either; the available source file sets the limit.

Find the saved file

If a download opens in a new tab, use the browser's save option for the media. On a phone, a long press may show that menu; on a computer, try a right click. Check the downloads folder before looking in your gallery or music player. The exact location depends on your browser settings, and saving a file does not automatically add it to every media app.

Use a public post you may save

Copy the direct link to the TikTok post using its Share menu. A profile or search page does not identify a particular video. Check that the post still opens publicly before trying again. This tool cannot access private content or restore deleted posts. Only save your own work or content you have permission to download, and check that permission before sharing it elsewhere.
