Download Threads Videos, Photos and Carousel Items

How to use it

1. Open the public Threads post and copy its link using the Share menu.
2. Paste the link into the box above and select Download.
3. Save the available MP4 video or choose each photo and carousel item you need.

Tips and fixes

Copy the link to the media post

Use the link to the specific Threads post containing the video or photos you want to save. A profile link does not identify an individual post. If the media is in a reply, copy the link to that reply instead of the opening post in the conversation. Open the copied link to check that it points to the intended public content.

Download carousel items separately

A Threads carousel can contain several media items. Review the available results and save each photo or video you need using its own download option. Videos are saved as MP4, while photos remain separate image downloads. This page does not combine the carousel into one video or a single archive. Check your downloads list to see which items you have already saved.

Understand a not found result

Only public Threads posts are supported. A private or removed post returns a not found result, and trying the same link again cannot bypass its privacy settings or restore deleted content. Check that you copied the correct post link and that the post still opens publicly. A link to an account or a conversation without the intended media is not a substitute.

Save files through your browser

The download location depends on your browser and device settings. Look in the browser's downloads list or the Downloads folder if the file does not appear in your gallery. When media opens in a new tab, use the browser's save option, such as a long press on a phone or a right click on a computer. Save only content you own or have permission to download.
